The Learning Analytics and Psychology Lab (LAPeL) works to study and (sometimes) develop learning analytics-based applications in order to understand their impact on motivation, study habits, and other important psychological processes. We believe that learning analytics is well positioned to meaningfully enable the personalization of students’ learning experiences. In so doing, learning analytics has the potential to contribute to more equitable and socially just educational outcomes for students who might otherwise be seen through the lens of the average student.
